Managers and Supervisors
As you should always be; but even more importantly now, especially for this month – NOVEMBER – the month that you are being evaluated;
· Do what you are suppose to do; nothing more, nothing less.
· Do your job safely.
· Be professional; be consistent; be efficient. Do what you are safely capable of doing – to the best of your ability.
· Punch accurately; correct clock-ring errors – make sure that they are corrected.
· Fill out 3996’s when you need assistance, pivot, or work overtime.
Fill out 1571’s when you are instructed to curtail or delay mail.
· Perform all your office and street allied functions. Clean-up before you leave for the street, when you return from the street, and before you end tour.
· Take your two (2) ten-minute breaks; your lunch; your wash-up time; your time for personal needs; your comfort stops. Take what you are entitled to!
· Give an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.
There is not a single supervisor or manager that, in their right mind, would argue with the aforementioned.
This is a time to do your job as it is supposed to be done.
This is not a time to cut corners, run your route, think that you are doing a supervisor a favor, or to kiss-axx.
This is a time to have your assignment fairly evaluated so the both management and the craft are left with a product that is accurate and can be managed on a daily basis.
You can lead a horse to water; but, you can’t make him drink.
I led you to the water. Whether you drink or not is left up to you.
